Vive Le Roc was the message from this pair
of jive bunnies as they got into the groove to promote a charity dance
marathon. Edinburgh dance teacher Chalky Whyte and pupil Elsie Horobin
went through their paces in preparation for the Le Roc Around the Clock
-
a Rock-n-Roll ball which will raise money for the Epilepsy Association of Scotland. More than 500 people from all over the country are expected to take part in the French Jiving marathon, which takes place on October 25th. Lynne Russel, spokeswoman for the charity, said: "Epilepsy affects one in every 130 people - that's 38,000 Scots. The marathon gives people the opportunity to start a hobby whilst raising money". Chalky, who teaches at the Edinburgh School of Dance in Westfield, said: "We want as many people as possible to join us in the marathon and would welcome any new people keen to learn the moves and prepare for the big event". |
